Abetone Ski Resort
Abetone is the most important ski resort in the apennines as well as the most renowned ski resort in Italy out of the Alps.
Abetone ski resort is in northern Tuscany exactly on the border with Emilia Romagna.
It's a very appreciated tourist destination both in winter for its slopes and services and in summer for the uncontaminated nature.
Abetone has more than 50 km of slopes and the entire area is covered with trails: wether you visit Abetone in winter or summer, wether you're a skier or a hiker you'll find attractions to suit your liking.
During winter the main attraction of Abetone is obviously connected to skiing: with more than 50 kms of slopes and 22 ski lifts with a capacity of 18000 skiers/snowboarders per hour.
110 snow cannons assure optimal snow coverage on most slopes until late spring.
All the slopes in the resort are connected: no need to drive to reach detached slopes or ski lifts.
Access to every slope is permitted with a single skipass that can be purchased at the departure of any lift.
Additionally to the 50 kilometers of alpine ski slopes there are 18 kms of nordic ski tracks.
