Pistoia Apennine Mountains

Mountains in the Pistoia Apennine mark the natural border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna provinces of Bologna and Modena.

 

Reaching heights of almost 2000 m these mountains host world famous ski resorts and attract tourists in every season.

Highest peaks are Corno alle Scale ( 1945 m.s.l. ) and Alpe Tre Potenze ( 1940 m.s.l.).

 

These mountains are covered with mountain huts, lakes, trails and gravel roads thus the area is perfect for practicing mountain sports such as hiking, trail running and mountain biking.
