Duca Degli Abruzzi

The Duca degli Abruzzi hut is on the shore of Lake Scaffaiolo, immediately below the summit of Mount Cupolino.

It's the oldest mountain hut in the northern Apennine and has been originally opened in 1878.

Due to weather and war it has been rebuilt three times. Again in 2001 it has been completed the last restoration.

It can be reached from Pracchia, San Marcello Pistoiese, Cutigliano and also from Fanano and Lizzano in Belvedere (these two villages are in Emilia Romagna).
