Lake Baccio

At an altitude of 1550 m.s.l. Lake Baccio is in the province of Modena ( Emilia Romagna ).

Its shape is oval, which is a pretty unique feature in the entire northern Apennine considering that there are no vulcans in the area.

At the center of the lake water reaches 9 metres in depth in standard conditions but sometimes water level can raise to 11 m.
