Abetone Forest

The forest surrounding the Abetone pass measures 9100 acres and is popular among hikers and nature lovers. It ranges in height from 950 to 1930 m.s.l. and is home to firs, maples, birches, beeches, scots pines.

Wild boars, marmots and roe deers are frequent.

This forest hosts the Orto Botanico Forestale of Abetone ( Abetone Botanical Garden )
